Tyson Fury shows off incredible weight loss ahead of Deontay Wilder fightadministrator
Tyson Fury has revealed the extent of his incredible weight loss as he counts down the days until his world title challenge.
The former heavyweight world champion takes on WBC king Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles next month.
And he has shed almost half his body weight in an effort to reclaim his place at the top of the sport.
Alongside a picture of himself and his team, Fury wrote: "Well words can’t express the way I feel! What a difference a year makes. Please keep fighting the battle daily!"
Fury ballooned to almost 400lb in the months after his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
Struggling to cope with achieving his life-long goal, he turned to drink and drugs and his weight shot up.
But since deciding to return to the ring earlier this year, Fury has lost almost 150lb.
Fury recently revealed how he had fallen into bad habits with his diet.
He told the Joe Rogan Experience : "I was eating a lot and drinking a lot and I just stopped that stuff.
"My weight was put on through drinking excessive lager. There are 500 calories in a pint of lager and I would go out and drink 18 of them followed by whisky and vodka, then I’d stop off on the way home and eat pizzas and kebabs.
"I just trained on a daily basis for a long time and ate sensibly and clean.
"Before I was doing a lot of long running and long boxing work, like 12-15 rounds on the pads. When I was losing the weight I was doing shorter, explosive stuff, doing more interval training.
"My diet was the most important thing, you can train like a Trojan warrior but not eat right and take three steps forward and two and a half back."
